CARIBIS Z AND DOMINATOR 2000 Z TAKE 1ST AND 3RD PLACE IN SIRES OF THE WORLD
Top sport in the Mechelen Nekkerhal! After the classes for the 6- and 7-year-old stallions, the main class of the day was scheduled with the Zangersheide Open Sires of the World. 32 combinations, including some real five star combinations, appeared at the start of this Léon Melchior Prize. Ten of them managed to get through the first round and qualify for the jump-off.
It was the German Christian Ahlmann who became the big winner of the evening. As the last rider he appeared in the ring with the 11-year old Caribis Z (Caritano) and managed to leave everything and everyone behind after a scorching chronotime of 34.63 seconds. Earlier in the jump-off Ahlmann had already impressed with the barely 8-year old Dominator 2000 Z(Diamant de Semillly). He finished with the black pearl of Stoeterij Zangersheide, who clearly showed no effort with the obstacles, in a time of 35.85 seconds which earned him a 3rd place.
